Trump spits on America. Is it time to acknowledge Hillary won?

By making that call to congratulate Putin on his "election" yesterday, Trump spit on America. On American values. On American Democracy.

Acknowledging the pain of all who resist tyrants worldwide, Senator John McCain said it exceptionally well too:

Neera Tanden, a long time associate of Hillary, policy advisor to President Obama and currently president of the Center for American Progress, a DC Democratic think tank, wrote this, summarizing what we now know about the 2016 election:

She has a point.

Trump made his call despite strong internal opposition from his own National Security Advisors. And by his own admission, he failed even to mention Russian interference in our elections or the matter of poisoning people on the soil of one of America's closest allies during the call.

The man in the White House who called to congratulate a dictator on a sham election (which he called Putin's “electoral" victory) doesn't stand for America or American values.

He also did not win.

Isn’t it time to acknowledge that Hillary did?

Post Script. The New York Times editorial today," Why is Trump so afraid of Russia, ends with this sentence, “If Mr. Trump isn't Mr. Putin's lackey, it's past time for him to prove it." I think we are past even that. We can nullify the election of 2016 - and all Trump's acts and appointees - and either start again, or we can name the woman who won our President.

You know where I stand.
