My name is Tim Alexander. I'm a survivor of police brutality, a former detective, and a civil rights attorney. I'm running for Congress to replace Jeff Van Drew. I'm at 56k followers. We're trying to reach 60k this week. Can I count on you to spread the word about our campaign?

In 1985 I was assaulted, shot at, and falsely arrested by plainclothes officers. Afterwards, I knew our policing had to be better, so I became a detective. Then I became a prosecutor and then a civil rights attorney. Now I'm running for Congress to fight for justice and reform.

Part of why we have become so polarized is because so many of our districts are gerrymandered. When politicians draw their own seats and prevent competitive elections, they only have to talk to their base voters. This pushes them to be more extreme. We must end gerrymandering.
