NYS Democratic Primary today. Yes, Today. Thursday, Sept. 13.

This from the New York Times.On Thursday — yes, Thursday [today, September 13] — voters across New York will make decisions that will substantially affect the future of the state and, possibly, the nation. Registered Democrats and registered Republicans will pick nominees for statewide, legislative and party positions. Even unaffiliated voters can cast ballots in the Reform Party primary.

Polls open at 6 a.m. in New York City and its suburbs, as well as Dutchess and Erie Counties, and at noon in other upstate counties. They close at 9 p.m. throughout the state.

Governor. Gov. Andrew Cuomo vs. Cynthia Nixon

Lt. Gov. Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul v NYC councilman Jumaane Williams

Attorney General. NYC Public Advocate Tish James vs. Zephyr Teachout vs. vs. Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney vs. Leecia Eve

Alessandra Biaggi vs. State Senator Jeff Klein (The former leader of a group of state Senate Democrats who joined forces with Republicans for seven years, in the process effectively guaranteeing GOP control of the chamber, state Sen. Jeff Klein agreed to rejoin the mainline Democratic caucus in April.) in the Bronx in District 34.
