PAST POSTSCharlotte Clinton Mezvinsky was born at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City on September 26, 2014. Her parents are Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky.
Before Charlotte was born, Secretary Clinton expressed excitement and expectation, "I want to babysit any chance I get." She also said, "Bill and I are on constant grandchild watch." Bill's Tweet of happiness is cited below.
Charlotte left the hospital with her parents and grandparents who were so visibly happy.
This is a photo of the Clinton-Mezvinsky Clan walking around Manhattan in December 2015. Charlotte (not visible) is in the stroller. Grandma is pretty visible and happy.
We do know that Chelsea was considering an elephant theme because elephants and their endangerment is very much on Chelsea's mind (just as they are on her Hillary's mind). 2 days before Charlotte's birth, Chelsea said she was fearful her baby could be born "on a planet without elephants." She also spoke of buying a few felt elephants for the nursery with part of the proceeds going to anti-poaching. The product in question are by BRIKA, a company created by a friend of Chelsea's, so we can guess that maybe something like this elephant clock has found its way into Charlotte's nursery.
Chelsea, who had announced her pregnancy, carries Charlotte in Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean..
At the American Library Association conference on January 11, 2016, Chelsea told the audience, " I don't think she has any idea that (the concept of "big sister") means yet, but we're talking about it a lot. She says 'Baby' and then points to herself."
So did others, including her enthusiastic Grandmother. This shows the family leaving Lenox Hill Hospital on June 20.
Here's the proof. In Madison Square Park, with her Dad and Grandpa and 3 of 4 family dogs--Tally, on hind legs (a poodle Shih Tzu mix) and Maisie (grey poodle-terrier cross) --these belong to Charlotte's grandparents--and her very own Yorkie.
Tweet and post early and often, using either #debates or #debates2016. Tweet and post for Charlotte. For Charlotte's Grandmother. For all the children in America and in the World. Happy birthday, Charlotte.
